Who is @nibbleNOLA ? A foodie. A guide. A mother. A Nurse. A reveler. A low key activist. A King Cake Enthusiast. Model. Her name is Jasmine.

I met Jasmine at a King Cake party. She is definitely the life of the party. I can’t believe she has time to juggle being a foodie and a full time nurse. Amazing!! I just love watching her lively & spirited photos.

Here’s Jasmine’s story:
Foodie/Guide: I've been taking pictures of food since 2012, but only in the past 2 years have I gotten more diligent. I LOVE FOOD. Who doesn't, right? I also love helping people find where to go for food and a great time. Guiding people to beautiful experiences is a passion for me. King Cake season is one of my absolute favorite times. I have made it my mission to try as many king cakes and king cake inspired items as I can handle with the main goal being to find the best of the best.

A mother: to a tenacious 6 year old. Who is, as far as I can tell, the youngest food critic in the game. @theLittleMunchster SHAMELESS mom plug there. I try my best to offer him tools so he may one day navigate the world with love and understanding. I do my best to educate him on everything from social injustice to lizards. He does his best to talk me into daily snoballs and icecream.

A nurse: I try my best to care for, educate, and advocate for my patients and their families. To use all the tools I have and to help them use the tools they have. I am currently applying for my Doctorate in Nurse Practice Anesthesia in hopes to further my education and expertise to better serve my community. (Also read, Dr. Nibbles coming soon)

A reveler: This is New Orleans, y’all. Don’t we all like to revel? If you don't have a costume closet, do you even really live here?

An activist: Admittedly, I thought I had stepped away from this after college to focus on myself and the life I'm trying to build. Recently, I realized I don't want to build a life or raise a child in a world that turns a blind eye to suffering and injustice. I can't be a nurse to patients and ignore the blights they face. I cannot revel in this city or enjoy it's food without the tireless contributions black people have made here.

Model: OK seriously, who doesn’t want to model? Super excited to be moving into this phase of my life with my friends to help promote businesses, galleries, food, self empowerment, & so forth. I also find a lot of entertainment in playing with the concept of “food porn.”
